Suellen is the founder and director of The ART Space. A Masters Qualified Positive Psychology Practitioner and accredited mental health social worker, she has 19 years of experience in case management and counseling with individuals and couples. She has worked in public and private health care settings to support people to navigate the challenges associated with chronic illness, infertility, and mental illness. Suellen specializes in blending the disciplines of coaching and counseling to activate change and to help people explore new and innovative ways to explore challenges. Suellen uses a range of therapeutic principles including CBT, ACT, and positive psychology interventions.
A Medicare rebate of $75.95 is available for sessions provided under a valid Mental Health Plan.
Sarah is an Accredited Mental Health Social Worker and family therapist. She brings over 20 years of experience in working in the mental health industry and has extensive experience working with adolescents, adults, couples, and families. Sarah has a compassionate and insightful approach and is passionate about helping people attend to their emotional needs, providing a therapeutic space that is safe, supportive, and strengthening. Sarah uses a collaborative and strength-based approach, focusing on helping clients move beyond solving issues to an enhanced sense of personal wellbeing.
A medicare rebate of $75.95 is available for sessions provided under a valid Mental Health Plan. From March 2020 Sarah will no longer be taking new clients.
Sophie will be undertaking a student placement with The ART Space commencing March 2020. She is studying a Master of Counselling and is a registered meditation teacher with Meditation Association of Australia. She’s completed tertiary studies in psychology and health science. Sophie teaches individual and group meditation classes, and works in the complementary health industry. She’s passionate about women’s health and fertility, and helping people connect more deeply with their thoughts, feelings and emotions so they can better understand themselves. With a background in customer service focused roles, and a regular meditation and yoga practice, she brings her empathetic, honest and non-judgmental attitude to her training as a counsellor. Student sessions are fully supervised and offered at a reduced fee.
Student sessions are fully supervised. These sessions are provided at a cost of $50 for a 50-60 minutes.
Ann-Marie is a counsellor with 12 years’ experience of working with individuals and couples. Having trained in the UK, she is an accredited member of the British Association for Counsellors and Psychotherapists and a member of the Australian Counselling Association. She has worked for community health and specialist charities which encompassed loss and grief, anxiety and depression, substance dependency, trauma and health. Ann-Marie brings with her a range of skills and works with the therapeutic models of CBT, ACT and Transactional Analysis. She is passionate about working with people and helping them identify and develop their unique skills and strengths to support their health and mental wellbeing.
No Medicare rebate is available for counselling services. Health fund rebates are available from Medibank, Doctors Health Fund and the Police Health Fun.
The ART Space is an independent coaching and counseling community that recognizes the challenges individuals and couples face during fertility and infertility treatment.
