Our Services

Counselling

Compassionate support for life’s challenges

We provide evidence-based counselling to support individuals navigating depression, anxiety, stress, relationship difficulties, life transitions, grief, and emotional overwhelm. Our approach is warm, reflective, and collaborative — helping people build insight, strengthen resilience, and create meaningful and lasting change.

Fertility Counselling

Support through the complexities of family building

Fertility experiences can hold deep emotional, relational, and personal impact. We provide specialised ANZICA accredited fertility counselling for individuals and couples navigating IVF, donor conception, pregnancy loss, treatment decisions, identity, grief, and the complexities of building a family. Our approach is warm, informed, and deeply supportive.

Pregnancy & Pregnancy Loss Counselling

Gentle support through hope, grief, and uncertainty

Pregnancy and pregnancy loss can bring profound emotional experiences that are often difficult to navigate alone. We provide compassionate support for individuals and couples experiencing miscarriage, pregnancy loss, pregnancy after loss, medical termination, fertility-related grief, and the emotional uncertainty that can accompany the transition to parenthood.

Grief & Loss

Holding space for loss, healing, and adjustment

Grief can emerge through many life experiences — the loss of a loved one, relationships, identity, health, hoped-for futures, or significant life transitions. We offer compassionate support to help people process loss, make sense of complex emotions, and move gently toward healing and reconnection.

EMDR Therapy

Trauma-informed therapy for healing and recovery

EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitisation and Reprocessing) is an evidence-based therapy designed to help people process distressing experiences, trauma, anxiety, and deeply held emotional patterns. EMDR supports the brain and body to heal from overwhelming experiences, helping clients feel more grounded, safe, and empowered in their lives.

Coaching, Wellbeing and Thriving

Creating clarity, growth, and purposeful change

Our coaching services are designed to support people who feel ready to move forward with greater intention and alignment. Through reflective and strengths-based coaching, we help clients clarify values, navigate change, build confidence, and create lives that feel more meaningful, authentic, and fulfilling.

Holistic, evidence-based support for emotional wellbeing

Accredited Mental Health Social Workers (AMHSWs) are highly trained mental health professionals recognised under the Better Access Initiative to provide evidence-based psychological therapies and support.

At The ART Space, our approach goes beyond symptoms alone. We understand that emotional wellbeing is shaped not only by internal experiences, but also by relationships, family systems, life circumstances, identity, and the broader environments people move through each day.

With advanced training in mental health, trauma, and complex presentations, Mental Health Social Workers are skilled in supporting people experiencing anxiety, depression, trauma, grief, relationship difficulties, adjustment challenges, and emotional overwhelm.

Like psychologists, AMHSWs provide assessment and therapeutic intervention for a range of psychological concerns. What makes their approach unique is the integration of both psychological and social understanding — recognising the important connection between emotional wellbeing, relationships, community, and lived experience.

At The ART Space, we offer compassionate, reflective, and evidence-based care that supports people not only to cope, but to reconnect, heal, and thrive.

Online Therapy at The ART Space

Therapy from the Comfort of Your Home

The ART Space exclusively offers secure and confidential online (Telehealth) therapy sessions, delivering the same quality care as in-person appointments with the convenience of connecting from home, work, or another private space.

Sessions are conducted via secure video platforms and require a reliable internet connection and a device with video and audio capability.

Telehealth is a flexible and effective way to access therapy. Privacy and confidentiality are prioritised at every stage: sessions are never recorded and your information is handled with care. Telehealth sessions are supported by Medicare with a valid referral.

Preparing for Your Online Appointment

To help you get the most out of your Telehealth session, it is important to set up a space that feels private, quiet and comfortable. Choose a location where you will not be interrupted and where you feel safe to speak freely. Headphones can help improve sound quality and privacy, especially in shared spaces.

You will need a stable internet connection and a device with a camera and microphone. If this is not available, sessions can also be conducted via phone. Before your first appointment, you will receive a secure video link along with any forms to complete. It may be helpful to have a glass of water, tissues and a notepad nearby.

If technical issues arise, your practitioner will work with you to reschedule or troubleshoot. We aim to make your experience as smooth and stress-free as possible.

Cancellation Policy

We understand that life can be unpredictable and sometimes plans need to change. If you are unable to attend your appointment, we kindly ask for at least 2 business days notice so we can offer the time to someone else who may be waiting for support.

Cancellations or missed appointments without sufficient notice mean that we are unable to fill the space, which impacts both our clinicians’ time and others in need of care. For this reason, the following fees apply:

Less than 2 full business days’ notice – 50% of the session fee: $115

Less than 1 full business day’s notice or non-attendance – Full session fee: $230

As part of our booking process, credit card details are securely stored via Halaxy, our practice management system. In the event of a late cancellation or missed appointment, the relevant fee will be automatically charged to the stored card. Halaxy uses bank-grade encryption and privacy safeguards. Learn more about Halaxy’s privacy and security.
